While already it was weird for me that adding task right into filtered group is supposed to copy parent tasks, it is at least very weird it also copies status.

Once adding task here it will be instantly purple status.

Hi Grox, If you sort by status, the new task will automatically follow the status from another sibling task.

Hi Grox, Did you group your tasks by status? If so, when you add a task to one of the status groups, the new task will automatically follow the status.

Additionally, you can add a new root task without inheriting the parent task when you group your tasks. To add a root task, click the + icon or select a task and press t.

Hi @Raisag This is not grouped by status, only sorted by it. I am already using button you show.
