Dear all . I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the implementation of the new table view. It has brought about improved transparency and efficiency, allowing us to easily view and manage our tasks. I must commend the team on their efforts in making this possible.
Having said that, I believe there is room for further enhancement. E.g a customized column named "QTY" is made for each task, . By having this column, we would be able to view and track the quantity associated with each task, which is particularly useful in projects that involve inventory or supplies.
Additionally, it would be highly beneficial if a sum total of the quantity column could be displayed when arranging tasks by status across all projects. This would enable us to have quick access to the total quantity of each status, facilitating better decision-making and resource allocation.
I understand that these additional features may require additional effort and development, but I strongly believe that they would significantly enhance our workflow and provide greater insights into our projects. The inclusion of such capabilities would undoubtedly contribute to our team's success.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. I am confident that implementing these changes will greatly improve our productivity and effectiveness. If you need any further clarification or support, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to share how we can improve Quire. Currently, the Custom Fields and Table view features are still in their early stages, and therefore, our team is actively working on making improvements.
For your case, you can create a custom field with a formula type to count the total quantity based on a status. Here are the steps:
- Create a field named
Quantity. - Add another field with formula:
SUM((project.tasks where any.status= 0).Quantity) - Note:
- status = 0 means the status percentage is 0%, which equals To-Do status. You can modify the status value to match your preference.
- You can also replace 'Quantity' with the name of your custom field.
Additionally, you can also put the formula in the task description by adding the formula in between double curly brackets {{ and }}. Please try this workaround and let me know if this works.
Regardless, we will make sure to bring your feedback to our team and further discuss this. If you would like to directly discuss with our team how to use Custom Fields in your project workflow, we are happy to arrange a call. Please kindly reach out to us via email at feedback@quire.io, and we will continue to assist you.
In the meantime, please feel free to continue sharing your feedback in this forum.

The above is solved , but the sum total or result of formula is shown only in detailde view ,
But when you group by status and minimise the status the formula of sum disappers , so the report by summary is needed
