if its too time consuming let it be by poll

HI Matthew, Got it. 😃

Crystal, Oct 2, 2017

i think he means an add subtask button on the side menu bar like in the attached image (hope it makes sense-- photoshopped). But, I don't know why a user would need that. It is MUCH faster to do this: Ctrl + Return (enter) and then Tab

Hi Harish, You will see a add-subtask.png icon for adding subtask under a task beside date & tag when you hover / click on the task. Screen Shot 2017-09-28 at 3.30.37 PM.png Let me know if this is what you want to see.

Harish, not trying to argue here, just trying to discuss.

  1. Is it correct to say that this is the feature you desire? (see image labeled "untitled.png")

  2. If the above point 1 is correct, then this point 2 is as follows: a) the development time is expensive, b) the cost of cluttering/over complicating the UI with buttons is not horribly expensive, but certainly noticeable, c) there is already a function that does the EXACT same thing only two inches away. (see "TimeSavings.png")

  3. assuming you agree with point 2 above, then the final point to me is that the gain is not very much. possible, yes, but not when some of your other requests are much more beneficial for their team to work on.

Thoughts?

Hey Crystal, thanks for all your replies. I agree, but was just trying to help clarify the OP.

Harish, also, just for the record. I get that you don't want to have to use the keyboard all the time, and I agree with you (maximize mouse use; AND maximize keyboard usage). However, Quire, in my opinion, already DOES maximize the mouse (they already have the "add subtask" button-- just a few inches from where you are proposing).

Again, not trying to argue, just wanting to discuss the economics and make sure we are on the same page.

the whole idea is to either use keyboard or a mouse.. When a user does not have keyboard or he is busy .. or for some reason for look and feel a user feel much each to click and add sub task then to remember the shortcuts

Eu gostaria muito dessa função para uma produtividade melhor.

Hi Matthew, Could be. If so, would like to know why a subtask button is needed in the right detail panel, when we got it in the middle main panel and a shortcut for it.
