#6426: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

This is a request to enhance the Google Calendar Two-Way Sync feature with the following capabilities:

Google Tasks (Todo) Synchronization: Please add the ability to sync Quire tasks with Google Tasks, in addition to the current synchronization with Google Calendar events. Conditional Sync / Filtering: Implement functionality to specify conditions (e.g., based on tags, projects, priority) for which items are synced between Quire and Google. Example Usage: Allow syncing Quire items tagged "Milestone" to Google Calendar as events, while syncing other items (e.g., general tasks without a specific tag) to a designated Google Tasks list.

Reasoning: When a Google Calendar is shared with others, syncing all detailed tasks from Quire makes everything visible to the shared recipients. This lack of control over visibility is inconvenient and difficult to manage.

Adding conditional filtering would allow users to control exactly what gets synced. Even if direct synchronization with Google Tasks is not possible, implementing conditional sync for events alone would be very useful for managing shared calendar visibility and improving sync flexibility.

Hi,

We understand you'd like Quire’s two-way sync with Google Calendar to also sync with Google Tasks, along with the ability to conditionally select which tasks to sync. We’ll pass your suggestion to our team to explore its feasibility. While we can’t promise immediate changes, we’ll keep you updated on any future developments. Thank you for sharing your feedback!
