Creating a task in group by status view does not respect the status it was created in

To reproduce: Group tasks by Status in List view. Click plus sign in a status other than the default one (In progress, for example). Add the task and submit. On refresh, the task is moved to the default status, rather than keeping the status in the group it was created in.
