Time tracking for tasks is the only thing missing from Quire! I've tried many project management apps and Quire is easily the best but it is missing time tracking to make it totally complete.
Is this in development?
Thanks! Sam

This would be awsome.

Hi @sam-88, What kind of time tracking features are you looking for? Examples would be great. π Currently, a timer (stopwatch) for each task and a calendar view are in our plan.
Crystal, Oct 16, 2017
Hi Caitlin, It will be. Do you have specific time tracking features in mind (eg., stopwatch)?

@joshuarobison.biz - Time tracking is where we can not only see that a task is being completed, we can keep track of how long it's taking to complete the task. For example, if I am billing a client by the hour for some work, I can keep track that it took 3 hours to complete that work and bill accordingly. Or if you are paying someone to do work for you and paying them an hourly wage, you can see how much they are costing you for that task. Productivity = work produced over a period of time...without time tracking, we can't track productivity.

@joshuarobison.biz - Jetpack Workflow does a great job of this. So does Clockify. You start the timer and it just keeps track of start time and end time in real time...if you miss something or get it wrong you can go back and edit. I definitely don't feel like Quire is bloated...there are a few really key features that it's missing to really boost productivity. This is one of them - the other is email to task. With those two features - Quire is really a great tool. And hey - if you don't like it, you don't have to use them π - But I certainly think there's enough interest from those of us who want/need it in our practices.

Is Time tracking ready? Its the only item holding my company back from moving forward with this project management tool.

+1 to time tracking with harvest. It's pretty easy to implement their Button widget. https://www.getharvest.com/add-time-tracking

That sounds perfect! If the stopwatch time can be recorded to the task it is assigned to automatically, so we can check how long each task took at the end of a project, even better!
spilsburydesign, Oct 17, 2017
nothing specific just something that we can track and report on the hours it takes to do a task and complete projects. Do you have a date when this will be available as I see it has been being discussed since 2016?
Caitlin, Aug 9, 2018
Hi Caitlin, Sounds like a timer (stopwatch) is what you need. It is possible we will get to it next year as the rest of this year is full with eg., open API.
