#7: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed
Tag: Resolved

I was just wondering if there is a trick to do a global search through all tasks and projects? Right now, it seems when I search, it just looks in the current project. Is there a character or special way to search through all my projects? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ryan, actually the search function goes through all the tasks, descriptions, and comments across all projects in your organization. For all the matched items in the project you're in, they'd be displayed in detail. For matched items outside of the project, Quire would display only the name of the project which the matched item are contained in. Try a few search terms and you'd see 😃

Lance, regarding filtering and the use of tags, I tried to create a view of the current page (Quire Feedback) which will display only issues that are not tagged as "resolved", but realized it's not possible. I think that there are many ways that won;t ruin the simplicity of your UI that will also add required functionality. Please think about it.

Thank you Lance. Please, think if it's possible to add small check boxes next to tags, so that we can search by multiple tags.

Is it possible to add also the ability to search within the tags? E.g. If I want to find all tasks tagged as "Urgent" across all projects and organization

Searching across all organisations??Is this possible?

Dimitrios Spirou, Apr 18, 2015

Hi Dimitrios, You can find all tasks tagged as "urgent" in the project you are in by using the filtering function. Just click on the filter icon just below the Project heading to expand the filter bar and select filter by tags.

As of now, we don't have a place where you could search and see all tasks across organizations with the same tag. We'll definitely consider it as long as we don't make the UI more complicated and confusing.

Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, we'll take into considerations (also multiple tags:)).

I have tried mulitple times and ways and it works sometimes and others not at all. That is why I was wondering if I was doing something wrong at times or using a specific sequence or something. I will keep trying. Thanks
