#848: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

The ability to add a detailed description to a task is great, but it's impossible to know which tasks actually have the descriptions. There's no indicator, so you'll never know if you or your team members added the task description.

Oooops, I didn't realize that the Description indicator is displayed when I press the CTRL button. See, hidden functionality isn't the best approach... Can we add a View -> "Show task attributes" or some other on-screen configuration to display advanced task icons without relying on the <CTRL> key? Phones and tablets don't even have the <CTRL> key. There shouldn't be any hidden functionality that relies on the keyboard, or on the right-click only, or on a magic phrase "Open, Sesame", otherwise everyone else will be missing out.

Thanks :-)

If for some reason, the UI can't support additional icons, maybe let users choose a hierarchy of importance. Or choose which icons show in the default and <ctrl> attributes views.

For instance I would find a comment count more useful than likes count, by default. And at least until I'm collaborating, I'd rather know at first glance that there are additional notes hiding in the detail pane than assignee.

Thanks

Totally agree with this. I've been contemplating moving my entire law firm over to Quire, but it's going to be hard without knowing which tasks have embedded task descriptions. Asana, Omnifocus, and various other programs accomplish this with a simple little icon - unobtrusive but highly informative.

Thanks!

Joshua, that looks nice. Perhaps it's time for different view modes. Full, Compact, etc. People have so many different phones, tablets and browsers that it's hard to please everybody with just one layout.

Hi Gabe, thank you for your feedback, if there's a new comment, an orange dot will appear beside the task name, you could use the orange dot to track if the task has new comments or not. Thanks!
