Current API rate limits are sufficient for portal traffic

We were assuming the existing 2,000 requests-per-minute ceiling on the core API covers portal traffic at peak.

How we validated it — modelled projected portal traffic against the current ceiling, then confirmed with the platform team that headroom exists to 5,000 rpm without a contract change.

Outcome — confirmed with 60% headroom at projected peak. Marked Validated on 28 Apr.

Keep validated assumptions in the log rather than deleting them. When someone asks in October why nobody checked, the answer is here with a date on it.
