Risk statement. All payments work routes through one engineer. There is no second person who can safely change or debug that code. Any absence, illness or departure stops payments work entirely.
Trigger / early warning. Any payments incident occurring while that engineer is unavailable.
Consequence if realised. Payments changes freeze. A production incident in that module could run for days rather than hours.
Current response. Mitigate. Deliberate cross-training with a named second owner, plus mandatory pair review on all payments changes.
