I have been searching the feedback and tutorials and I am not sure if this has been answered
Can Tasks be made to have dependencies?
So, for example, my team has a report that is due each month and I do that report. But before I can do that report, two other items must be done by another team member so I can continue - I don't want my task to show that it has to be done or to be able to click it as complete until the other two dependent tasks have been completed - which is the case for my task.
Is this possible?

Yes, we understand where you are coming from. We shall have a timeline view/Gantt chart that shows the task dependencies in the future. If you have a visual of one that you have in mind, you are more than welcome to share. 😃

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Got it! When we have the Gantt Chart available in the future, the dependency structure should be reflected in the task view as well. So that, your main task won't be crossed out until the dependent task has been completed. 😃

Hi Alex, We are still trying to gather as many suggestions on Task Dependencies from our users. For what you have mentioned, would you mind sharing a visual idea of what you have in mind? For example, would you like this feature in a list (vertical) view or in a timeline (horizontal) view?

hi I wanted to plus 1 this. I would like to be able to push a date from another task being complete. Like task B needs to be complete 5 days after task A was completed. Is that possible?

Actually it's not about the visual in this case. I'd like an option that the due date on this task is x number of days from when this other one is done. So task a: do research for project. Then task B, due 7 days from when task A is marked complete. Seeing it in list in some way is fine, like the "pre task" +7 where the date is would be fine. Gant charts are awesome for different stuff, but here sometimes you don't want the due date to trigger until a precursor hes been done.

Thanks Michelle. I don't use Gnatt Charts as we are not a project management group. We provide accounting services. I prefect the task list... for me the visual would work if, A. My task had a cross through it like \ so I could tick it off until the dependent tasks were complete. Also I don't want others who are following the whole task are unable to tick off my tasks. This might be an internal issue that I need to take up with staff - but I have used other task management applications that either have that cross through my task or the circle is red and it cannot be clicked until the dependent task is complete.
It's a small thing... but a nice to have.
