So, for instance you have a task like "implement feature X", and it has subtasks of "code the feature", "make a pull request" and "merge to master" as signs of completion, and on the board each of these move from "started" via "in progress" to "completed".
Then, let's say you also have "implement feature Y" and it has similar subtasks.
First of all, there's no way to differentiate them visually, and second, there should be a way to indicate progress or completion of the parent task based on progress of these.
Do you have any plans of implementing a solution to this, and if, in which way?
Hi Juha-Jarmo, I see what you mean. Do you have any visual expectations in mind? Thanks. ๐

Hi Juha-Jarmo,
Oh wow! Thanks for the mockup! I will pass this to our team and we shall discuss more on this. As for now, you could hit Ctrl ( Alt for Mac) to see the breadcrumbs. It might help you to have a more clear idea of the relationships between parent and children tasks in board view. FYI, we plan to have a section in the description area to show a simple tasks dependency, it might also help with this case. But as we have other higher priority tasks, we havenโt gotten to this one yet. Thanks.

Hi! We have introduced a new feature called Task Bundle, which allows you to group the subtasks under their parent tasks so the task hierarchy will be preserved as it is. Check out this blog post for more information! ๐ Hope this feature helps with your feature request!
Note: This feature is only available for Professional, Premium, and Enterprise subscriptions.

I'm not sure which to choose, but the lazy way is just having each issue show hierarchy, but visually I think the better option might be to represent the parent task(s) of subtasks like a section in the board so that all the tasks under the parent tasks is visually grouped in surrounding min/max completion boxes hierarchically such as in this mockup:
