#2483: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

Regrettably, I feel forced to default back to Asana for a daily project management tool. I'm sincerely bummed about this. And I'm still rooting for Quire to evolve into something I could someday return to. There is so much to love about Quire and I especially appreciate the philosophies and principles that are guiding Quire's development. Mostly, I love the feel of using Quire. The process of transforming ideas into a a tangible structure of processes and details feels smooth and mostly intuitive.

But the clincher that is hitting me hard this morning is that Quire is not suited to help me manage myself through multiple Organizations and Projects. If I want to review all the tasks demanded of me across various projects, I'm relegated to a skinny, non-interactive sidebar. There's no interface to help me make sense of and organize myself around all that may be demanded of me. Quire only offers myopic views of one project at a time. No landscapes. No big pictures. This morning I find myself caught between several projects that need attention and no interface to sort tasks by relative urgency or group similar tasks between different projects.

Why in the world are the My Tasks section or any of its subcategories (Tomorrow, Unscheduled, Favorites) relegated to a tiny sidebar and not expanded out into the main window for broad review and sorting?

Without an interface to facilitate decisions between the many projects in our life, Quire becomes useful for only two things in my world: As a task management tool for only a single project; Or as tool for knowledge management that doesn't require task completion. Quire still shines as a knowledge and process management tool for as many Organizations and Projects one can dream, so long as to-do list action items don't become required.

Hi @backup4g , we have introduced the renovated Quire My Tasks II. 🚀 In this release, we have moved the My Tasks from the sidebar to the main panel. This way, you could sort and filter the list however you like.

Also, you would be able to add tasks to the My Tasks. It serves as a central Inbox section for you to dump your ideas to and you can go back to review the task list and transfer to relevant projects. Please check out this blog post for more information.

Hi Joshua @joshuarobison.biz ,

Unfortunately I'm afraid I have to go ahead and delete your previous comments. Though Quire Feedback is a public and open discussion section, please do not repeatedly promote other tools on Quire platform. This public project should be about Quire and our community only.

We welcome all of the feedbacks and suggestions from our users, as well as we're very happy to learn more about the way Quire users set up their daily work on Quire. However, please respect our team's hard work by not mentioning our competitors here. Thank you very much.

P.S.: Quire is a flexible tool that allows users to be creative in anyway that they feel most comfortable and convenient with their work. Quire isn't made to be 100% compliant with GTD method. I believe GTD method is a wonderful productivity method that helps thousands of users, however, we leave the decision to our users on whether or not they want to set up GTD on Quire 😃

Have a great day 💯
