I've posted feedback on the recent My Tasks update (https://quire.io/blog/p/Introduce-Quire-New-My-Tasks.html) and many others have echo'd my feedback, but haven't seen a response.
The gist: please allow the expansion of My Tasks on the left to function as it did. While not something I'll use, clicking directly on My Tasks can continue to function as it does now -- nearly 17% of respondents prefer the new way.
This really breaks my workflow. I use it to organize essentially all of my daily tasks, as well as larger project-based tasks.
Thanks,
_josh
Hi all,
Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions! We understand that the newly revamped My Tasks might get mixed signals from all of you. But rest assured that we're only trying to help our users with their productivity, not to create another problem for you.
The newly redesigned My Tasks aims to create a better and cleaner view for all of the tasks that are related to you. My Tasks will include tasks that are assigned to you, created by you without assignees with start or due dates, favorited by you in any project or your personal tasks. Those tasks can belong to a specific project or just be the personal tasks without being assigned to a project.
Regards to the missing nested tree view, we're experimenting different possibilities right now. It's just the early day for My Tasks II so there're endless possibilities to enhance this feature. So bear with us for the time being, we're listening to you and we'll work on making Quire even better 😃
P.S.: Except for the change in position (from sidebar to main panel) and the missing nested task list, is there anything else about the new My Tasks that you wish we could have done better? Or if you could elaborate more on the change in position causing you problems, that would be very nice.
Thank you very much for using Quire.

I agree with all of the above in terms of needed more capabilities added to the new Tasks list, but I don't think it's location is the problem. To me it seems that the bigger issue is the (in my mind) small feature regression that came with it. Yes jumping to the project view from My Tasks would be great to restore. Yes showing nesting would be great. however I think that having all of these things and in the center panel with more customizable filtering and sorting is a huge win.
Thanks for the hard work.

Hi Josh,
As we already mentioned earlier, we’re experimenting different possibilities with the new My Tasks. The new My Tasks has the exact same functions as the old one, but with different layout and position. We understand adapting to the change is never easy, especially if you use My Tasks everyday.
We just want to once again emphasize that we’re listening to your feedbacks and we’re working very hard on giving our users the most logical and streamlined workflow.
If you don’t mind, could you please elaborate more on how the new My Tasks causes you so many troubles with your workflow? We would like to know more about your opinions toward the new My Tasks. Thank you very much ♥️

Hi @joshg253 , I'm not sure what you mean by "but the existing ones do not show up as such"... Could you please give us an example? Thank you!

Hi all,
We just released an update on the web version (mobile will get the updates soon) to let My Tasks have task hierarchy. Hope you all like this update 😃
Have a great day 🚀

I understand, though ideally experiments would be optional instead of fundamentally changing the way something works with no way to opt out. I realize we're not paying for this service yet but only because there is no option to do so.
I have lots of recurring tasks, some daily some less often. Using this to manage "projects" is a distant second to tracking things I need to do.
My main problem with My Tasks 2 is mostly that if I sort by date I lose the subtask nesting. Previously I'd see scheduled tasks sorted/grouped by date on the left, and I could use those as shortcuts to the full list on the right. I'd leave the full list filtered by Active (unless I was organizing, instead of just using) and unsorted so nested subtasks would work.

Other notes: I'm using mainly Win10/Firefox and Android/app, but also use Surface Pro, Edge beta, and various Linux distros. My subtasks sometimes follow the parent in terms of due date, but some are unscheduled or have different due dates. I'm not using due "time".

(Win10/Firefox70) Looks like I can create new subtasks MyTasks but the existing ones do not show up as such. Being able to drag & drop tasks into other tasks to create subtasks would make short work of rearranging them.

This has completely disrupted my flow. I basically live by my task lists and I'm going to need to seek alternatives very soon. The sidebar My Tasks wasn't just in another place, it behaved differently as well. Why can't we just have both?

The new design is very inconvenient to use, I need My task expansion back. With this new design, how could I jump to the exact task of the project, besides searching for the task manually?
I need to jump to the tasks of in their projects to see status of other tasks, what could be input for my task.
Seriously Quire team, you guys messed up with My task feature before (replaced it with Smart folder), made Quire unusable for me for a week or two. That was a bad move. Now this is also a bad move. Could you be more sensible about any redesigning of My task, because that feature is important and it affects our daily productivity.
