#2531: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

Hi, I would like to ask you to add an option under the tasks and subtasks. As we create subtasks under a certain task means that the completion of those subtasks makes the task completed. For instance, if I create a task to fulfill an application for a program for my high school students, I create subtasks to break down the to-do items within that task which I will have a completion of the task eventually after the subtasks have completed. So if there is an option under the task to select "Mark the task completed if all the subtasks are marked as completed", so I don't necessarily assign the main task to a person or a group of people in order to make it completed. In this way, it will be automatically marked as completed.

Thank you for your consideration in advance.

Dag @peggy , it is great that there is the flexibility to set up their project in Quire. But is it not possible to have the option so it is possible to choose?

Hi @wesleybruines - I will bring your suggestion to our team for more discussion. If there are any updates, I will let you know in this thread. Thank you.

One question: how can subtasks be independent of the parent in a project? Then these subtasks would need to be single tasks within a project.

Hi @mtunca , thank you for your feedback. We treat the parent task and its subtasks as separated individual tasks. The parent task doesn't behave the same with a header or a section title. We allow the parent task to have its own status, so parent tasks will not automatically be marked as completed. The reason behind is that we would like to let our users have the flexibility to set up their project in Quire. Hope it makes sense.
