#3206: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Where can I found specification of JSON and CSV format which Quire supports for importing tasks? I need to imports a bunch of .vts files (VTODO format). Alternatively, is there an option to import VTODOs directly?

Anyway, it would be much better to have a clear definition of supported file formats.

@koroboru - I'm sorry for not making myself clear enough 😭 At the moment, we only support importing JSON files exported from Asana, Trello or Wunderlist.

As for CSV files, the format would need to follow no. 4 in this blog post (https://quire.io/blog/p/How-to-migrate-to-Quire-Copy-and-paste.html) for it to import correctly.

We will enhance and make it more clear in our Guide.

@koroboru - please see this guide to learn more on what kind on JSON file we support importing into Quire: https://quire.io/guide/import-with-json/

Currently, we do not support import from .vts files (VTODO format). I will pass this request to the team and let you know if there are any updates, thank you.

@peggy , thanks for your reply.

I don't see any description of the JSON format in the article you have pointed to. I read it before posting this question, and also read the linked blog post, and sibling articles in help, and have not found description of the file format anywhere. The only description which looks somewhat relevant is listing of supported columns for spreadsheets / CSVs in https://quire.io/blog/p/How-to-migrate-to-Quire-Copy-and-paste.html.

So looks like I have to write a converter to convert couple hundreds of VTODOs I have to a CSV based on this piece of information.
