Hi
If I have a task, let's call it "Do some laundry", with subtasks "gather laundry from bedroom" and "put into machine" and "hang to dry", and I set a priority for "Do some laundry" but not for all the other subtasks, then sort by priority, the task and the subtasks are separated.
This leaves me with a bunch of subtasks and no context for them, and doesn't let me immediately see the first step in the thing I most urgently need to do.
Similarly, if I assign a high priority to the subtask "gather laundry from bedroom" but not to the "Do some laundry" task, then sort by priority, the subtask is separated from its task and I can't see the context. Not terrible for something like laundry where the context is obvious; but I'm doing a bunch of proofreading on choral music, so I have a lot of subtasks that say things like "Proofread soprano 1" for different pieces. Yes, I could name each subtask with the name of the task it's going to, but to me this seems to defeat the purpose of having a bunch of subtasks.
Is there a setting to change this? Or do I have to assign priority (and the same date and whatever else I wnat to sort them by) to every subtask in order to get them to move together?
It would also be nice if the task/subtask relationship could be maintained when transferring tasks and subtasks from one project to another.
All the best,
Kathryn
Hi @artsyhonker - You can toggle on the Advanced mode by hitting Ctrl for Windows or Alt for Mac, this way you will see the parent task's name when you sort by priority.

See this guide for more information: https://quire.io/guide/advanced-mode/. Please let me know if this helps or not. Thank you.
