Clicking on a task doesn't really do anything, and if I want to just edit the name or a tag or whatever, I know I should just click on the text, tag icon, etc. But clicking on the task box doesn't seem to do anything, so it might as well open up the details view, because I also think that's what people intuitively expect to happen. It just so happens that Asana does it this way, too.
Also, clicking on the sidebar icon texts a little extra time and it's not as intuitive as clicking on the task itself. I also think it might be a good idea to reduce the width of the details view, too. That way it might even make sense to always keep the details view ON from settings. But until then I'd at least like to be able to click on the task and have it open fast.
Seems really redundant having to double click to open task details.
Migrating from Asana this is quite an annoyance.

Hi @Lucian_Armasu - Thank you for your feedback.
Clicking once on a task selects the task. You can double click on the task to open up the detail panel for the task, just like opening up a file on your computer.
Another tip to quickly opening up the detail panel is to hit the Spacebar on your keyboard.
Once the detail panel is open, you can resize the width of it. Also, if you feel opening the detail panel is too tiring every single time, you can pin it.
See more details here: https://quire.io/guide/user-interface/#detail-panel.
