How to set up and manage dependent Sub-Tasks residing under different (independent) Tasks

Hey there - enjoying the platform and really want to get the most out of it! What have you found to be the best way to manage dependent tasks and sub-tasks? What I mean by that is - I need to do Sub-Task A2 under it's affiliated Task A but I cannot begin on Sub-Task A2 until I complete Sub-Task B4 under Task B. I had originally thought with the timeline function that I could affiliate dependent tasks and subtasks, but as of yet I have not been able to figure out a good way to do this. What is the best way you have found and what would you advise me to do best manage and set that up Quire? Thank you again!
