I've noticed that some subtasks that have dates show up the My Tasks list, but others, also with dates, do not. It seems as if the ones I create by indenting or dragging tasks under others don't show up, while those that I create using the menu (add subtask) do show up.
Is this expected behavior, and I'm just not doing something right, or is something wrong?
Thanks. I can also send screen shots if you like.
Hi @R_Turner and @raf.jaf - Below are the kinds of tasks that will appear in My Tasks:
- Tasks created by you, not assigned to others, with start or due date
- Tasks assigned to you
- Tasks that are created in My Tasks (Personal tasks that don't belong to any projects)
If you would like the tasks to appear in the My Tasks, kindly assign the tasks to yourself. I hope this helps.
Here's a guide for more details: https://quire.io/guide/my-tasks/

To fix the problem, I have to manually delete the subtasks' dates, then add them again. Even if I drag the subtask out of the task to make it the task's peer, it still doesn't show up in My Tasks until I delete and create dates. Thanks again.

Thank you @peggy for these explanations, I thought all the tasks of all my projects would appear in My Tasks

I also faced a similar problem (some tasks missing in My Tasks). This renders it useless or dangerous to use. Strangely enough smart folders are OK, they never seem to omit a task from the relevant projects. Isn't it the same engine behind both mechanisms?

Update: It may not be the subtask creation method. Rather, if I have a date for the parent task, then remove it, all subtasks -- though they have dates of their own -- no longer show up on the "My Tasks" -- however, if I add a new subtask, then that one, and that one only , shows up in "My Tasks". Thanks. Any help appreciated! I'm trying to decide on a new task management system, and quire looks really good!
