What I really need is:
The ability to set up projects compartmentalized by the areas of my life: home, my 9-5, my side business, school, etc. I can do this with Organizations, check.
I then want to create projects and tasks in each of these areas. Check.
Now I want to grab tasks to do off a single Kanban board from any of these tasks, no matter which Organization they're in. No bueno. :-(
Quire would be my go-to task management software if it could do this one thing.

Hi Bob - Thank you for your feedback!
To put tasks from different projects into in one place, you can use the Smart Folder function. Right now, you can add up to 5 projects into one Smart Folder.
However, just like what you have mentioned, a Smart Folder only has two kinds of views right now; Tree and Timeline. We shall support Board view in the future. I will keep you posted if we have an update regarding to this request. Thanks!
