At the moment you can only create subtasks of a parent task However that isn't the way we always think. At time we work from a bottom up approach. Where We think of how a task falls under the bigger picture. Since the bigger task is dependent on the subtask
Is there a way in which you can do the opposite of 'shift+enter'. Instead a add a subtask, the task becomes a subtask of the task you are adding
Also in addition a dependent task feature would be amazing

A similar issue: At times, there are several task and I'd like to assign a common supertask to all of them. In my case the supertask already exist. I select the tasks respectively and use drag and drop. It works but feels cumbersome 😐
Another approach: For a task there are several options in the context menu, e.g. "Set due", "Set assignee", ... If an option like "Set supertask" was added, the entire process of grouping existing task under a existing supertask would feel a lot smoother 😃

Hi Jasper and Tobias - Thank you for your feedback. I think this make sense and I can understand where you are coming from.
Here's what we have in mind and consideration of implementing in the future: making a tasks as another task's subtask via context menu. This might be more similar to what Tobias had mentioned above.
I will pass your feedback to our team and let you guys know if we have any concerns or updates after the discuss about this. Thanks!

Yeh I agree Tobias, when it comes to thoughts and task creation. Sometimes we realise how it can all really fall under a goal
