#5943: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed
Tag: Resolved

I first encountered it when I was trying to add a task that started with the word "Replace". It kept disappearing, and I couldn't figure out why. I realized that Quire was automatically applying a tag that I was filtering out.

The bug occurred again with a task that started with "Return" and another with "Replace". I was entering a bunch of tasks using the t shortcut, and hitting enter after each one. I had a previous task that was due on Aug 8, the last one that I'd done anything special with. Any following tasks that didn't start with an R were fine. The "Return" task was automatically (and undesirably) assigned the due date Aug 7. And the later "Replace" task was automatically assigned the due date Aug 6.

Edit: Can confirm it also occurred with "Remove" (due date set to Aug 5) and separately "Register" and "Revise" (applied a tag from an earlier task).

Edit 2: Apparently it also happens if the R is in the middle of the task. Bug also affected a task that contained (but didn't start with) "Rx".

I assume that the bug is due to this feature: https://quire.io/guide/repeat-last-command/ But I think the code should avoid applying the shortcut while the task name is open for editing. And assuming that's the issue here, there seems to be a side bug with the shortcut because it doesn't apply the same date -- it always subtracts one day from the previously assigned date.
