Hi

I have just signed up for a free trial and am looking for a system with some quite specific permissions/visibility.

  1. Can I set permissions, whereby my team members are only able to see task allocated to them and have no access to the overall project(s)?

  2. Can I set visibility of columns/fields depending on role? For instance, I as admin need to assign a cost to the task, however the person that the task is allocated to should not be able to see it despite it being 'their' task.

Please find the answers to your questions below:

  1. If you would like your team members to only access tasks assigned to them, you can invite them as external team members. External team members can only see tasks assigned to them. They are also able to create subtasks under those tasks and manage them. For more details, please refer to our guide here. Please note that external team members are counted towards the total member seat per organization.

  2. Currently, custom fields are visible to all member roles, including external team members. However, they can be hidden from members with a Guest role. You can find more details here. Could you kindly share the reason why you would like to hide custom fields from members other than admins? Your feedback will help us better understand your needs, and we can bring it to our team for further discussion.
