#6386: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed
Tag: Feature Request

Due planned swap to Quire for patch notes we found one security concern. We share URL for public patch notes for group of around 10 testers. They cycle around quite often due their time or sometimes we find out they reveal planned changes regardless it being disallowed, so they are removed from testing access.

Creating new project every time might be not best solution.

Easy solution would be changing URL of project. However this creates redirect for old URL. Maybe it would be possible to disable creation of redirects with some project option?

Other option would be creating unique Public Share URL (some apps do it), so it would be easy to disable old ones, but it's way more work in general.

Hi,

For public projects, changing the URL will still create a redirect to the project. Instead, we recommend using the Share project link feature. This allows you to set an expiration date for the link, and once it expires, access to the project will be revoked.

You can also create multiple links for different groups of testers or share a sublist instead of the entire project. You can refer to our guide here.

If you still need to change the public project URL without a redirect, we’d be happy to help. Please contact us at support@quire.io or send us a message directly.

Alternatively, if you no longer want people who previously accessed the project to have access, you can make the project private. Once it's private, they will no longer be able to access it.

Seems it's even allowing to comment and add to favourites, so exactly what I needed, awesome!
