in some filters (grouped tasks) it is possible to move tasks with Ctrl+Up/Down arrow keys, but in some other filters it is not possible.
Why?
moving task upward/downward is possible:

moving task upward/downward is impossible:

yes, possibility of moving task using shortcut is ok in MyTasks. I think it is better that in my task it be possible to move task by shortcut key in other group type like priority.. the possibility of reordering the tasks in a group would be beneficial to to do more focus on the top tasks in a group. if you don't think so please tell me why it is limited to date type of grouping. thank you

Hi,
Some users have also requested the ability to move tasks within groups. I’ll pass your feedback along to our team for further discussion. While this feature isn’t on our roadmap yet, we’ll keep you updated on any changes. Thank you!

Hi,
After testing both filters, I wasn't able to reproduce this using the keyboard shortcut.
Based on your filter settings, since you've applied both grouping and sorting, the Ctrl + Up/Down shortcut should be disabled. Please share a screen recording so our team can take a closer look.
As for the moving task shortcut:
When grouping or sorting is applied, manual reordering (including with shortcuts) is not allowed because the task order is automatically determined.
- For grouping, you can't move tasks within the same group section, but you can move them to another group (except for Create Per Week, Update Per Week, Complete Per Week, and Complete Per Day).
- For sorting, we disable reordering since it would conflict with the sorting logic.
However, when you use a filter (e.g., filtering by Priority = High), you're narrowing the view without changing the order logic. In this case, tasks remain in their original order and can be moved manually using the shortcut.
Hope this helps!

according to testing that I did, it seems that the only Group that within it, it is possible to move up/down tasks (by Ctrl+Up/Down arrows) is "Date Group".
all others did not allow me to do so.
It seems that it is not depended on sorting criteria (applied or not).
As you said in description the logic is that when sorting is applied (with every criteria) it should not be allowed to move tasks with the same group.
But when no sorting criteria is applied it would be desirable to be able to move task within a group (maybe it would be better to place some tasks at the top of a group.)
Please discuss this feature to your team.
thand you very much!

Could you clarify if you were able to move the task up or down in My Tasks? If so, please note that we currently allow moving tasks using the shortcut only in My Tasks when grouped by Date, not in the project view.
If you'd like to move tasks within the same group in your project, you can enable Task Bundle in Tree view.
We’ll pass your feedback to our team for further discussion and keep you updated if anything changes. Thank you.
