Pathfinding weld keypoints

I did have an issue with splines; I am not sure if it is a bug or intended results. When generating roads using Interlink and then Pathfinding the splines become disjointed. Shouldn’t the spline ends be forced to join at the ends? From the images I provided you can see that a disjointed spline makes a very abrupt change in height on the roads at intersections.
