The Wrike home page has a dynamic example. A great feature is dependency so that one task can't start before some other task completes. Independent or non-sequential tasks can be separate lines (bars). Aligning that visually is a great benefit of a Gantt chart.

Great to be acknowledged. Okay I can give further example. There is a PowerPoint plug-in by Office Timeline for developing spreadsheets into Gantt charts. A few of their sample charts spread nicely across a page and please me, while other charts seem to clump too many details into too-small spaces on the chart. Their use of visual milestones seems to be helpful.

"good Gantt" attachment I like this one because it has a smooth flow. Office Timeline allows moving items into other swimlanes . Wrike allows dependencies (A MUST HAVE) so that moving one boundary drags the other bar accordingly even in a different swimlane. Any visual arrangement of tasks MUST obey dependency rules! Note the milestone flags.
"less artistic" attachment This seems dominated by a boring timeline. Maybe it leaves me cold because I'm not involved in the substance that is being displayed. The upper image simply feels more interesting. The rounding of the bars is NICE in this lower one, actually making me LIKE the placement of labels in the bars instead of down the left side. It becomes a real problem with short bars.
