#3015: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

I missed two details that I consider very important.

1- Add multiple tasks: if I paste several lines in a new task, it creates a task and joins all the lines in one. 2- Dependent tasks: there are tasks that should not be started before the previous one is completed, there should be a way to link it (no need to consider date / time, just a sequence of tasks).

+1 for task dependency

I do this currently, but it only works for a single line of tasks, what if I have multiple tasks dependent on one? What if I prepare a task sequence for my team? they are unlikely to respect the order.

Hi @sigma5530 , regarding No.1, you could paste bullet points from Notepad or Word into Quire, by default, we will recognize the list as multiple tasks. Here's a blog post for more information: https://quire.io/blog/p/How-to-migrate-to-Quire-Copy-and-paste.html

For No. 2 task dependency, it's in our plan to have similar features in the future. However, we are still working on other tasks right now, we haven't gotten to it yet.

Hi, the 2nd item is good idea. When I have blocking tasks I simply group they in step by step order (top to bottom) and take the next task when the previous one is done. Maybe it could work for you too.

Have you tried the Sublists? They might be helpful.

+1 vote for dependency between tasks. It would be great if we could specify that some task needs ie. 3 days to complete instead of specifying specific date. That way we could link it to some other task and have Quire calculate dates based on the dependency and start times.
