#372: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

It would be great if you could add a gantt chart option per project and per organization..

hi @peggy ... is there a release date for Gantt chart yet ?

Yasin Meah, Nov 28, 2020

Hi @p.lopolito , we don't have an actual release date for our native calendar view. We plan to roll out such a feature later this year.

⭐️ I have merged your post with this post #2689 already covering this request. Feel free to add your comments to that thread.

Hi @Yasin_Meah - I don’t have an update to share just yet, but I’ll make sure to update this thread as soon as I can. Thank you.

Hi Crystal, I think something like this, in the attached photo would be great. It would be an extension of the actual task management ( that is great ), with the possibilities to link tasks ( dependencies ). I hope I explained it well, sorry if I didn't

Agree.I heard from quire team that they're working on this. This feature is really important for every product manager to create roadmap.

Hi Andrea, You are welcome. πŸ˜ƒ

Hello, I started to use Quire for my startup and so far I love it, symple yet powerful with the ability to collaborate with the team and see the kanban board and stats. I'm writing here because my organisation too feels that the possibility to have a Gannt feature would be absolutely great and would make Quire the perfect the total perfect tool for a project management when combined with Slack. Crystal because you are asking an example I can suggest to have a look to Agannty. I hope that we can see the Gantt feature implemented soon.

Hi Crystal, A gantt chart beside a kanban board would be a great thing ! So Quire would be the best project management tool for me and I would surely use it for my small team.

Do you have any idea about the release date of this crucial feature? You did not release it because it will be included in a "pro/platinum/freemium" version, did you? I mean, guys, I love your work and I converted all the people around me to your tool but I need at least a native calendar/timetable view

Paolo Lopolito, Mar 4, 2020

Hi Richard, We are thinking about having a Kanban boards view for a visual representation.

Crystal, Aug 23, 2017

Hi Andrea, Thank you for the screenshot (the numbers at the top are # of periods and below them are dates I assume?). We will consider it. πŸ˜ƒ

Hi Andrea, May I ask what your expectations are for a Gantt chart? A visual example would be great. πŸ˜ƒ

Crystal, Dec 1, 2017

Hi Fabian, May I ask why you need a Gantt chart for each project and organization? For now, when you sync tasks with both start and due dates (and even time) to a calendar of your choice (Google Calendar or other), you can see some sort-of Gantt view with duration in the calendar. Perhaps it would be good enough for your needs?

Crystal, Apr 10, 2017

Hi, I just wanted to add to this.

The power of a Gantt chart over just a calendar view is that tasks have an estimated duration. I think the biggest issue with Quire right now is that I can't learn anything about my progress other than how many tasks I'm completing.

It would be incredibly useful to have some kind of oversight on realistically how long a big task would take by adding up the duration of the smaller "child" tasks. Dates are fixed points in time, and are too broad. "Minutes / hours / days" would be more appropriate.

You' re welcome ! and yes, you' re right, I'm sorry the screenshot is in italian. Thank you for your support !

Hi all - Quire Timeline is now available. You can switch from List to Timeline view with just one click at the upper right corner of the workspace.

πŸ“’ Visit our blog for more details: https://quire.io/blog/p/timeline.html

Please open up a new thread if you have a suggestion for us. Thank you! 😍

Hi Crystal, The view of the Gantt is to have an overview of all the task and timeline plotted as a visual presentation... easy to spot dependencies and see if the targeted date can be achieved.

Is there another way to have a visual presentation?
