Assuming that composed tasks are completely defined by subtasks, i.e., by completing the all subtasks, the composed task is completed, the kanban/scrum view could show only leaf tasks to make things more clean.
I do agree that there should be an option for the parent to be completed when all the sub-tasks are completed. But that should be an option (toggle on/off at the parent task details?)

Hi Richard - Here are some threads that had similar discussions with your requests:
At the same time, I will bring your feedback to our team. Thanks!

Hi @filipemtz - Thank you for your feedback! I will pass your feedback to our team for more discussion.
I am assuming you are referring to the main List tab, right? When you switch to the Board view, you would like to only show the 'subtasks'?
Here are some of our concerns:
- Does this mean we should hide all the root level task (1st level tasks) in the Board view?
- Or are you expecting an option for you to choose starting from which levels should be hidden?
If we have a feature, called 'Filter by a certain level'? Will it work for you and solve this request?
Some of the users from the Quire community are requesting the direct opposite of your feedback: they would like to only show the 1st level task in the Board view and they want all the subtasks to be nested underneath their respective parent task. What do you think about this?
Here are the threads for your reference: #4175 #4326
Looking forward to discuss further with you about this.

Hi all! We have introduced a new feature called Task Bundle, which allows you to group the subtasks under their parent tasks so the task hierarchy will be preserved as it is. Check out this blog post for more information! 😃
Note: This feature is only available for Professional, Premium and Enterprise subscription.

I disagree with this request. In a Kanban view I want to see the sub-tasks clearly nested under the parent task. Here's an example from TickTick
