#4359: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed
Tag: Feature Request

Hi there,

Is there any way to create Project Templates in Quire? While we are looking at setting up a number of different types of Projects, some of them will follow similar themes, as such having a template we can work from, rather than starting from scratch each time, would be really useful. From looking round the site, the only way I can work out to do this would be to set up some blank projects which I never use, and then use them when I set up a new project. If that's the case, that's not ideal as it just clogs the screen up with more projects.

From what I know, there are no "project tempates" as such. However, while creating a new project, you can choose if you want to use an preexisting project as a template for your new project. More details can be found here: https://quire.io/guide/add-project/#add-new-project-from-existing-project

Hi Monish - I'm aware of that. The trouble is that copies the project over in it's current state, rather than its state at conception, which is the purpose of a template. It seems quite a big flaw to not have a template feature.

Hi @Slade_Wolfe - Thank you for your feedback! I have also read your comments here. What you are looking for is to create a new project using the template function, meanwhile having the options to clear out all the tasks' statuses, descriptions, comments, attachments?

I will pass your feedback to our team and keep you posted if I have more information. Thanks!

Thanks @Peggy, that's it exactly. So it becomes a proper template; like you'd find a template in Word or Excel
