When on the page for a project, in the tree view for the list of tasks, sorting by date or grouping by date or other criteria, separates out the subtasks in the sorting or grouping. For example, with a list of task, some of which have subtasks and where the tasks have due dates but some or all of the subtasks do not, sorting by date separates the subtasks into unscheduled. It is better that the subtasks remain with their tasks regardless of the sorting or grouping. The subtasks follow the task they are a part of when tasks are sorted or grouped. At least there should be a user setting to allow for this. That would be most useful. Thanks!

I second this request.

Yes, subtasks should always be part of the main task. Maybe add an option/switch to show them separately.

Fully agree. I can't imagine why Quire doesn't behave this logical way by default. Sort the top-level tasks in order. Then all subtasks are sorted in order but remain under the parent tasks in the same hierarchical tree fashion, and so on for each subtask under a task.
| Unsorted | Sorted |
|---|---|
| B | A |
| - B2 | - A1 |
| - B1 | - A2 |
| A | - A3 |
| - A1 | B |
| - A3 | - B1 |
| - A2 | - B2 |

Totally agree: subtasks should always be attached to the main task they belong.

+1. An option/switch to show them separately would be great.
