Keep subtasks underneath parent task when filtered/sorted

Although I now understand how Quire works in this respect )ad there is clearly logic to it), I still find it tricky/confusing when I sort by date (for example) and see a parent task (with a due date) but have to go looking for subtasks that I know exist (i.e. they would normally by expanded/collapsed immediately underneath). Think the same might be true the other way around? Not sure if there's any easy way to resolve this? Thanks.
