I've noticed this before and don't see why it should be happening. Any ideas?

So, did the assignee disappear or were you unable to assign the task in the first place? Did you assign the task to yourself or someone else?

Was probably me. Think it belongs to a project I created for meeting agendas that auto assigned to me when I created it but needs to be unassigned, so I removed myself from it,

Did wonder about the start/due date, that would explain this - although not sure it makes sense having them show up in my tasks when they're not mine?

Hi Neil - The tasks that fit below criteria will appear in My Tasks:

  • Tasks that are created by you, with a start/due date
  • Tasks that are assigned to you
  • Personal tasks (Tasks that are created in My Tasks and doesn't belong to any projects)

Hi Neil - When a task is created by you and has a due date, we automatically assume that it needs to be take care of. And since it doesn't have an assignee, we think the task should appear in My Tasks or else it might be forgotten.

Still not as expected, but it isn't a bad idea - else where would they exist (and mostly should really be assigned to someone to get done?! ;) That said, where I'm using Quire for planning etc (e.g. meeting agendas or high level/task group headers/titles), they aren't tasks in any real sense so would never be assigned - but still might have a relevant date. In this case I've found I can exclude them in My Tasks by filtering them out (only showing tasks assigned to me). Thanks.

Hi Neil - We might roll out a feature 'Sections/Headers' in the future. (#1858) We imagine that these 'Sections/Headers' will act like group headers and they aren't real task. When the feature is implemented in the future, it might fit into your use case.

Hi Peggy. Have just checked the other sections/header idea and responded there. But esentially feels like this already exists/can be achieved with sublists (which I lve already 😍 )?

My idea is quite distinct to this, i.e. certain items behave/look like tasks only they can be managed differently and don't add to the visible workload (e.g. for brainstorming, meeting agendas or adding simple list/checkbox items to a parent task that don't need to be assigned/tracked etc).
