Overall our small team started to use this platform and wanted to share our gratitude to share this. The best to your team and this project.

There are some things I would like to suggest to the platform:

  • the notifications are a little bit overwhelming and hard to focus on whats just to know, or thing we have to focus and work on them. all notifications seem to have the same level and category so it's hard to tell if we are not missing something or something went missing among other notifications.

  • task dependencies. Our work requires finishing some tasks before moving forward to other ones. Been able to define those dependencies would be awesome for us, and to have more meaningful Gantt chart views. This help us to prioritize "my tasks" too.

  • Be able to define workload or net days of working some task. Instead of defining a deadline in some cases, we work with working time: hours, days, weeks, etc. So we are able to project the Gantt chart, workload, and define the future of the tasks to be done.

  • finally, is it possible to @mention some users on the task's comments? So give direct notifications to some specific people?

Regarding the suggestions, please see the below reply:

  • Notifications: Here's another thread with related discussions #2311. Some users have mentioned they would like to archive notifications or mark them individually as read. Do you think these enhancements would be helpful? You can either add your comments in the above mentioned thread or here.
  • Task dependencies: This is in our consideration for our future enhancements. Here's a thread on this topic: #277. I will also pass your suggestion to our team. You may refer to the thread for updates.
  • Define workload: For this, would having 'Custom fields' (#2570) be helpful for this use case? After we have custom fields in the future, you can create a field named 'Workload' and enter the hours/days for each task.
  • Mentioning member: Yes, you can mention a member by typing @. Then the mentioned user will automatically become the follower of that task, so he will be notified when any modifications are done to that task.
