I need some kind of notes manager for each project and organization. There is no place to put useful info that is not a "task".
That's fine @joshuarobison.biz. If you don't have the need then you probably wouldn't use built in notes. I'm currently using Quire in combination with Google Keep which suits my needs. But as I said, I can imagine some useful features that Quire notes could have.

Hi @sergeyvolovyk and @pmd , what about the description section of the project/organization? Will this be enough? Or you guys have other ideas in mind? Please do share. Thanks! 😃

Hi all,
Quire Documents is now available! 🙌
You can create, edit, and share detailed notes, plans, and reports without leaving your workspace. Check out our guide and blog for more details!

Not so much @peggy. Let's say I'm building a mobile app and a server side API. In that case I'll keep one note with random "shower ideas" that I want to remember, one note with API calls and their parameters etc. These things are not suitable to put in the description. Right now I have these kinds of things in Google Keep. But it would be nice to have a notes section in Quire. I can see a few features that Quire notes could support since it knows about both tasks and notes in that case. Not a deal breaker for me though, more of a nice to have feature if it's implemented well.

That's ok. I'm happy to hear that the current solution is good for you 😃 I'm sure the Q team will add or discard such a feature request if they think it's within project scope.

I second this request. I've currently created a task called notes, but that feels more of a hack than to have an actual notes section.

Hi @pmd , I will pass your feedback to the team. I’ll keep you posted when I have an update, thank you!

Hi @disfated , thank you for your explanation! As for now, having a note-like feature isn't in our current plan. As we are mainly focused on our nested task list/tree structure task list and kanban board feature. We will keep your suggestions in mind!

Taking and managing notes is crucial part. I like how it's done in ClickUp. I've made some screenshots for you to consider.
General look
So it basically is a separate type of "view" which contains a set of document entities, so it doesn't interfere with existing task functionality.
You can search through all documents' content. You can Quick Search (Blink Search) docs. Clickup currently doesn't allow you to position on particular doc entity, only on view as a whole, but you'd clearly want to.
Next, they have a simple WISIWIG editor
Since we don't have WISIWIG in Quire, markdown should be perfectly fine, but you probably want to be able to switch between preview and edit document modes. Maybe more extended markdown syntax is needed to support stuff like tables and flavored code blocks.
Finally, you can share entire view or a separate doc:

Something like this would be awesome to have in Quire!

I would like to upvote this as well. I am sadly reconsidering using Q at this time because notes are a crucial part of projects (and project management).

Merged #3533 to this task.
