Deprecating Support For Internet Explorer Browser Starting From 2021

Quire stopped supporting Internet Explorer at the end of 2020, and Microsoft has since retired IE for good. To use Quire, switch to a current browser: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, kept up to date for the best experience.
Today, we are sorry to say that Quire will no longer support Internet Explorer (IE) by December 31, 2020. This means, starting from 2021, if you’re using IE, you cannot load or view Quire’s workspace anymore. Quire team will neither optimize the experience for our IE users nor fix the glitches caused by IE.
We understand that you love IE, we mean, who doesn't? (It’s not a sarcastic comment!) 🤫 But Microsoft has made up their mind and while we know saying goodbye is never easy, we still chose to stop supporting IE in order to deliver the smoothest and most secure user experience to all of our users. We are committed to help you make this transition as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Which browsers does Quire support?
Currently, if you are looking for an alternative option for IE, we recommend: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox. In case you are curious, Quire team is using Google Chrome and Safari daily! If Chrome is your pick, you can even turn Quire into a desktop app straight from the browser.
At the moment, Quire works best with the official and latest browser version. If your browser is not up-to-date, you might experience some uncomfortable bumps while using Quire.

Why drop Internet Explorer at all? Because a modern web app leans on web standards that IE, first released in 1995 and frozen in place for years, simply never kept up with. Supporting it meant holding the whole product back to the slowest common denominator. Retiring it let Quire load faster, render more reliably, and stay more secure for everyone on a current browser. Microsoft itself reached the same conclusion and ended IE support entirely, steering its own users to Edge. The one-line takeaway: if you are still on IE for anything, it is time to switch, and not just for Quire. If you are on a managed work computer and cannot change the browser yourself, this is a fair thing to raise with your IT team: IE reached end of life, so staying on it is a security exposure, not just a compatibility annoyance. The good news is that switching costs you almost nothing. Edge, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox all import your bookmarks and passwords in a couple of clicks, and once you are on any of them, Quire loads faster and behaves the way it is meant to. A modern browser is the single easiest upgrade most people can make to their whole workday. It takes about two minutes, and you only have to do it once.
