Add Tasks & Subtasks in Quire Permalink

Tasks are the building blocks of every Quire project. You can add them directly in the workspace, Tree view, or detail panel, and break them into subtasks for more detailed planning.

Add a Task

In the Workspace

  1. Press T on your keyboard to create a new task.
  2. Or click the + icon at the upper-right corner of your workspace.

  1. Click the + icon at the far right of the selected task or when hovering over it.
  2. Or press Enter on your keyboard to create a new task.

In the Detail Panel

  1. Click the More Options icon in the detail panel.
  2. Then select Add task to create a sibling task.

Add a Subtask

In the Tree View

  1. Press Shift + Enter on your keyboard.
  2. Or click the Quire subtask icon at the far right of the parent task.

Click the More Options icon, then choose Add subtask.

Edit a Task

  1. Press Ctrl + Enter (or + Enter for Mac) to edit a task name.
  2. Or double-click on the task name, then press Ctrl + Enter (or + Enter for Mac) to save changes.

Tip: If the task name is long, press Space to open the detail panel and see the full name.
