Add a Task

Quire lets you quickly create new tasks to organize your work and break down projects into actionable items. You can add tasks directly in the workspace or detail panel depending on your workflow.

How do I add a task in the workspace?

  1. Press T on your keyboard to create a new task.
  2. Or click the + icon at the upper-right corner of your workspace.

  1. Click the + icon at the far right of the selected task or when hovering over it.
  2. Or press Enter on your keyboard to create a new task.

How do I add a subtask in the Tree view?

  1. Press Shift + Enter on your keyboard.
  2. Or click the Quire subtask icon at the far right of the parent task.

Edit a Task

How do I edit a task name?

  1. Press Ctrl + Enter (or + Enter for Mac) to edit a task name.
  2. Or double-click on the task name, then press Ctrl + Enter (or + Enter for Mac) to save changes.

Tip: If the task name is long, press Space to open the detail panel and see the full name.
