Edit Field Values in Quire Table View Permalink

In Quire, the data entered into a field is called a value. This guide explains how to edit different types of field values directly from the Table view.

How do I edit a field value in Table view?

You can edit most field values directly from the Table view by entering edit mode.

1. Click on the task to select it.
2. Click on the field cell again.
3. Start editing the value in edit mode.

Which field types require using the edit (pen) icon?

Some field types cannot be edited by clicking the field cell directly in the Table view. Instead, you must use the pen (edit) icon or follow specific behavior.

• Text (paragraph) fields:
  • Click the pen (edit) icon to modify the paragraph content.
• Email address fields:
  • Click the pen (edit) icon to edit the email.
  • Clicking the email address itself will open your default email client.
• URL fields:
  • Click the pen (edit) icon to edit the URL.
  • Clicking the URL directly will open the link in a new browser tab.
• Formula fields:
  • Formula values cannot be edited manually.
  • These values are automatically generated based on the formula configuration.
